This catalogue documents the inaugural exhibition of undergraduate Thesis students in the Life Studies specialization of the Faculty of Art at OCAD University in Toronto, Canada. In Life Studies, we ask students to consider the deep necessity of re-evaluating the traditional disciplines of art and respond to the conversations that scientists, theorists, and cultural practitioners are having regarding urgent global issues and scientific advancements. The specialization began in 2014 as an interdisciplinary studio-based study bringing together the research methodologies of art, science, and the humanities. Dr. Caroline Langill led the specialization design process with Natalie Majaba Waldburger, lead faculty member in Life Studies.
