My name is Maren Laurence, I am a professional harpist, law student, and now an author. I have just graduated with my master’s degree in music from one of the top music conservatories in London, UK, at the Royal Academy of Music. I originally wrote this book as a wedding gift for my sister to help her begin the journey of learning to cook. I soon realized that I had created something unique. Cookbooks do not teach you the basics- they usually are full of instructions and recipes, and anyone can follow a recipe! But how many people can truly invent a dish? This is the skill that I have tried to explain and teach in my book. Cooking started as a hobby and has turned into a passion that I share with everyone around me.
