The play sold out in Wilmington, Delaware and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. In 2009, Ebony was the winner of the spoken word performance competition, In Rhyme, hosted by the Grand Opera House, Wilmington, Delaware. She is also a three-time Finalist in the Best Performing Artist category for the Delaware Black Awards. In 2010, she won the talent segment with her spoken word performance in the Miss Black Philadelphia Pageant. In 2017, Ebony founded Ebony's Haven, a nonprofit organization to advocate childhood literacy. She holds a B.S. in Human Services from Springfield College and an M.S. in Management from Wilmington University.
