À propos du Ebook
For the 10 days of the Wigtown Book Festival 2011, in the South West corner of Scotland, photographer Kim Ayres was the Artist-in-Residence – a position created as a joint venture between the Festival and Spring Fling, Scotland’s premier open studio arts and crafts event.
During this time he took over 170 portraits of authors, visitors and residents staring intensely into the lens of his camera. These were printed out and stapled to the walls of “The Hut” – a studio space behind ReadingLasses café and bookshop, which he was given to use for the duration.
This book follows his progress from naïve enthusiasm, through various hiccups to the completion of his quest, and includes all the images in the final exhibition.
