À propos du livre
In a quest to answer the question, "What does it take to build a town?" Merrill combs the local waterways of Washington state's Grays Harbor. What she turns up is often quite surprising. 200 years worth of quirky items left behind in the river mud.

À propos du créateur
Marcy Merrill
North Cove, WA
My home is a little known stretch of beach along Washington's southwest coast. This beach is a sort of a grand central station of international beach debris. Homes take a tumble onto the beach, belching their contents into the hungry tide. Meanwhile, debris from faraway countries makes its way onto this makeshift (and sandy) loading dock we call North Cove. Pieces fall off cargo ships, even pieces of ships themselves find their way to our front door, as the ocean, in and out with tides and storms, says hello and goodbye. My book, 200 THINGS, is an album of quirky images of quirky things that make their way to our neighborhood.
