À propos du livre
Having experienced prison, attempted suicide she has with help from people who believed in her risen to beyond anything she could have imagined in those bad years.
Today we are greeted by a woman who has and dream and in pursing it. It started when she first went to work for OSD (Overseas Support and Development) as a junior staff member. Since then she has found herself pursuing her childhood bream to travel, arriving as a Teaching Assistant at the distant Centre of Kiandru in Kenya.
It was then that she started to realise that dreams have to be lived and that brings good and bad. Good, she loved her work, her colleagues and the children. The bad when troubles broke out and that resulted in death and destruction at the Centre with Kayleigh leading a small group of children across country to safety.
Later, back in London she describes needs to be met in particular the development of local staff to take more responsibility in the running of Centres. The result she becomes Training Programme Director for East Africa.
If that wasn’t enough, changes at OSSD result in her being promoted to Director for East Africa a short time after.
Now we see Kayleigh emerge in the role which takes her across East Africa in developing services with her small group of staff. Even as this happens we see Kayleigh’s relationship with Bob developing as does another more distant relationship; her relationship with Aziza the young girl who she fell in love with while at Kiandru. That issue needs to be resolved for both their sakes.
As she wrestles with this issue she confronts another issue from the past when she meets the mother of the girl she killed.
Throughout there is the potential for everything to cave in on her. How will she cope and what will she do?

À propos du créateur
Writing and Photography are my 4th and 5th careers. Together they are taking me to different places and worlds as I see things through new eyes and always looking for the unusual and unexpected. Photography now competes with writing fiction. My first 'Memories Fade the Spirit Lingers' is a historical romance and ghost story with a difference as it covers nearly four centuries. The second 'Trust Betrayed' is very different and deals with what happens when trust between a photographer and model breaks down. My latest challenge is in writing the Memoirs of Kayleigh Sanderson which is still being written although the first books in the series are available here at Blurb. This is the life of a poor child who despite tragedies has a dream and the will to succeed. My photographic work includes traditional landscape including books of my journeys to Portugal and Kenya. In addition I work with a few professional models on projects covering ranging for casual fashion to fine art nude.
