À propos du livre
Photos of the Saxonvale site in the Somerset market town of Frome which I have been recording for over 10 years during its abandonment and decay. These changes include fences, barriers, destruction, graffiti art, fly tipping and even big-brotheresque cameras with loudspeakers. This was not planned a documentary project, but rather a recording of aspects and details that drew my eye. Now that Saxonvale is about to be transformed it is timely to review these photos and synthesise them into a coherent body of work - this book.

À propos du créateur
John Beeching
U.K.
John Beeching is a published photographer of many years’ experience. He has built an impressive body of work, especially in street photography, whilst also exploring landscape, abstract and other genres. He works with both film and digital cameras producing mostly black and white images. While modern media allow him to share his work with a wide audience, John sees high quality fine-art prints or photo-books as the end result of the process. Prints that can be handled, framed and hung on the wall - there is nothing that can quite compare with the tactile and material quality of a good photographic print or looking at a high quality photo-book.
