God took a very gracious, loving, and beautiful woman and caused her to support me through notes and letters and cards. She never nagged. She never pulled. She never made me feel guilty. She just love me. Her love was solid and sure.
In my fourth year of marriage, I began to see that medicine was not totally fulfilling. God had helped me to see that she and the children were more important than medicine.
During the demand, she never fussed about my long hours. Rather, she kept encouraging me to study, prepare, and be diligent. She was simply faithful and quiet. Slowly i began to remove myself from all other responsibilities, all organizations, and all roles of leadership, because I wanted to devote time to her and the children.
If I can make a tribute to any one person, it is to my wife. She has given the most, loved the most, and sacrificed the most, and she has been the quiet spirit behind me that has moved me forward. It is a tribute that I wish all women could receive from their husbands. My focus has been turned toward my family by the lady I admire most, my wife, Sharon.
