À propos du livre
Timing is everything, and sometimes being in the right place at the right time turns out to be an auspicious event that changes our lives as well as others connected to us. Such a lucky event happened in a remote corner of the New Mexico desert in March, 2007. Dennis was driving a government truck across a desolate part of the Zuni Indian reservation to a meeting in the field. As he zoomed by a large brown lump in the road (thinking it was a big cow pie) he noticed the lump was squirming. It was a pile of four tiny puppies huddled together for warmth in the middle of the road! He stopped and backed up; the puppies came to him, but there was no mother and there were no houses or buildings for miles in any direction. The puppies had to have gotten there by someone throwing them away, and they would not have survived long in the middle of nowhere. After calling and watching for the mother, and after slowing down several speeding vehicles that came along, Dennis scooped up the four puppies, put them in the government truck, and sped off to the meeting for which he was now late.
