À propos du livre
In this second of a four-volume autobiography project, Colin Clay shares the events of his life from his time as a student at Cambridge University (1952-55), to his first years of service as a clergyman, before moving to Canada with his young family in 1959. He tells us of his experience as a student at Christ’s College, in the University of Cambridge where he studied history, enjoyed his many friends, and even found time for some sporting activities. Upon graduation, Colin moved to rural Somerset, where he began theological studies at the Anglican seminary beside the beautiful Cathedral in the city of Wells. In 1956, Colin married Barbara Brown and the following year Barbara and Colin welcomed the birth of their first child, Philip. In 1958 in the ancient church of Southwark Cathedral, London, Colin was ordained a Priest. For two years Colin served as an assistant clergyman in a south London parish. In 1959 their second child Gillian was born, and in September of that year, the young family boarded a ship for Canada, which is where volume three of the next installment of this autobiography will begin.
