À propos du livre
The poems and pictures in 'Buried Treasure, Transitions through grief' were written during the years following my migration from England to Australia in 2001, and the death of my mother in 2006. They chart a personal course through coming-to-terms with leaving my home in North London, and starting a new life, with my Australian husband and young son, on the other side of the world, in sub-tropical Brisbane, Queensland. They explore my inner emotional journey, links with outer events in the world (both domestic and global), connections with memories of my childhood, and finding new meaning in working with marginalized communities.
