À propos du livre
Photographs by Nikos Zompolas
Foreword by Nikos A. Milionis
Collection of photographs from Istanbul to Reykjavik.People are the same the world over.
They may differ in looks but experience the same emotions. The colour of the boy who goes home on the local bus, exhausted after a long Sunday excursion with his family, is unimportant. There is no essential difference between the friends spending hours in the Péitruss skate park trying to perfect a spectacular trick and those in Navarino Bay competing to dive the longest.
Each place is different.
It is fascinating discovering different places with a camera; they might be in my hometown, my birthplace or a city visited for the first time. Each one is a unique universe. I am not interested in capturing the immediately obvious features of those places, but rather in walking around looking for frames and moments that will impart surprise and visual interest to my photographs.
