On August 13th, 2010, I took my girlfriend to Crystal Cove, CA, and handed her this book. It was the start of my proposal to her. We read it together for nearly an hour, and by the end of the book I was on my knee asking for her hand in marriage. (She said yes!)
Amazingly, all along she had been writing a song WITH THE SAME TITLE ... that I had known nothing about! We had never discussed marriage ... and were both (later) shocked (and yet not) when we discovered how we were on the same path.
The book begins:
"In some cultures, it is said that 40 days before birth, God plays the ultimate matchmaker and announces a person’s mate. Digging deeper, it says that actually the mates were once one single complete soul, split before birth and reuniting again in this lifetime."
This is the story of April and Jason -- their love story -- from 40 days before birth through August 2009, complete with emails and tons of photos.
