À propos du livre
Iron Arts Journey, Part I depicts the works of and chronicles the construction by blacksmith & artist Vaughn Shafer of the Buffalo skull sculpture which will be raised and dedicated above the Buffalo Chip in Sturgis, South Dakota during the annual bike rally in August, 2009.
The book features chapters of Vaughn's amazing Saber-tooth Tiger chopper, built to scale, of the extinct canine as well as many of Vaughn's pieces showing the wide range and versatility of his work and art. Special focus has been placed on the construction of the Buffalo skull sculpture, detailing the day by day construction of the 6'9" X 6'9" skull and the processes needed to do so.
This book lacks the intended captions for those detailed days due to trying to meet the contest deadline but the captioned version will appear within days of 7.17.09.
