In August 2008 my father and I went on a long-dreamed of African safari. I took the photos, and my dad kept a journal. His journal is a wonderful record of all the amazing places we visited and people we met. We visited orphaned elephants in Nairobi and saw vast herds of wild elephants in Amboseli National Park. We watched dramatic river crossings in the Masai Mara, and petted orphaned rhinos in Lewa Conservancy. It was about as special a trip as a father and daughter could share.
