Choir Man explores the quest for inner peace taking the path of sex, alcohol and rock-and-roll. It is the story of a good Catholic whose faith is tested to the breaking point. Buried beneath his religious rituals, Ben Delando uncovers the pain he suffered as a child when his older brother died. Choir Man features a range of emotions from Ben's playful irreverence toward the Catholic Church, to a family torn apart by alcoholism. The story takes place in 1979 where for some the American Dream is as rusted and hopeless as the closed factories and shoddy American-made automobiles, where optimism is on the decline as baby boomers enter middle age and begin to recycle their memories
