À propos du livre
For the last few years Christopher Young has begun his artist statements with the following: "As young children growing up in small-town New Zealand, my brother, a friend and I used to play in a large abandoned building. The rooms were in varying states of disrepair, but often contained objects that appealed to us. We gathered these trinkets and put them together into the cleanest of the rooms, essentially creating a hideout."
Revisited for the first time in 27 years (2012) and made within a few square kilometres, 'Small Town' is an intimate look at this rural community.
The book includes essays by Paola Anselmi, David Bromfield and Christopher Young.
