À propos du livre
Over the years I found myself often photographing people waiting.
I try to capture the look on their faces, to guess what are they waiting for, for how long have they been waiting?
I feel that waiting has a great significance in our lives. At times it seems that we are always waiting for something: The bus, the next client, the end of the work day, the weekend, the vacation, a bonus, a raise, a promotion, a child to be born, the children to grow up, the grandchildren's next visit...
Our state of mind as we wait, reflects on who we are: Are we patiently, passively waiting? are we nervously pacing back and force? Or maybe we find something else to do to pass the time?
This book is a collection of photographs on the subject of waiting, accompanied by quotes from literature.
I hope to inspire the viewer to reflect on his own waitings...
