À propos du livre
When you turn 40 you can sit down in despair and disappointment and be convinced that your life is over. You can go see a doctor and order a big bottle of Viagra or you start looking for the best possible clinic for plastic surgery to get a complete make-over.
Arnold Uit de Bos decided to do none of these... To celebrate his 40th birthday (25th of March) he invited 28 friends for a long weekend out in the country from 27-29 of March 2009 on his costs.
From Kiev we departed for a planned 8-hour car rally to our “unknown” destination. Following the (sometimes confusing :-)) instructions, during which we had to dance and sing in public, we arrived after 10 hours in Kamyanets Podilskyi, a lovely medieval town in the West of Ukraine. There we spend 2 nights in the Gala Hotel.
On Saturday morning one part of the group went on a 4-hour mountain bike tour in and around the old town of Kamyanets. The other part of the group went on a guided tour to a beautiful fort known as Kothyn. The afternoon was reserved for a well deserved rest in a private VIP sauna using the hot tub and enjoying relaxing massages.
The climax of the weekend was the party in the courtyard of the Kamyanets castle. Even though It was quite chilly, the food, drinks and activities kept us warm all night.
This book is not only about Arnold Uit de Bos. It is a visual memory of a great weekend, the guests and all activities.
Enjoy!
