This book is the final phase of a community participation design process, involving the UW Storefront Studio and the Vashon Island Growers Association, aiming to reimagine a farmers market on Vashon Island. After showing different options to the community, a preferred option was voted on by VIGA and the public, and approved. The preferred option was then developed in detail, and a set of cost estimate documents was produced. Local contractors created accurate cost estimates and those were presented to the public. VIGA then proceeded to a permit and fund raising stage.
