À propos du livre
This book is a photographic celebration of the North Chickamauga Creek gorge that reminds us to both enjoy and preserve this great treasure so close to Chattanooga, TN. Arranged in a seasonal framework, 144 photographs describe both expansive views and the details we seldom stop to see. The text seeks to both explain the dynamic of our relationship to this watershed and illuminate its spirit.
“When we stand before wild land, there is something in our gut that tells us that this is all important, that we are a part of wild land in some way and that it needs to be preserved. This is not some fuzzy emotion that we feel. It is an instinctual warning that we need these places.”
