My family has traveled for as long as I can remember. We traveled extensively in the North America as well as Europe. We would take extended family members on many of these trips. I continued this tradition as a teacher, taking groups of students on trips around parts of the US and one trip to Australia and New Zealand. Photography has also been a passion of mine. I received my first camera at the age of 10 on a trip to New York City. I have never stopped taking photos. I taught photography in middle school and had students make their own pin-hole cameras. Travel and nature photography have been my primary focus (pun intended!). I have made 3 mission trips to Zambia, Africa. On these trips, I not only have had the opportunity to visit villages in the bush, but I have had the opportunity to "do the tourist thing." My photo books illustrate some of my experiences.
