À propos du livre
Beverly Ohler's animal stories convey a deep appreciation for all creatures and in her writings she celebrates the lives of the ones who cross her path. In her book, "For The Love of Animals," you will find some of the stories concern personal encounters as her daughters were growing up on a college campus, where they lived in North Carolina, and others concerning animals who were her daughter's patients in her hospital in Northern California. The stories cover a multitude of subjects, sensitively written, honoring animals in every form.
You will find many of her stories in magazines and short story collections. She has published a children’s book, SWEET SUE Adventures in New York City, has edited two publications for her husband, Frederick Ohler, BETTER THAN NICE, And Other Unconventional Prayers (Westminster/John Knox Press), and PEPPERMINT CHRISTMAS/
CHOCOLATE EASTER. She has published
THEY FAITHFULLY LED THE WAY -- Remembering those who came before and helped create Warren Wilson College. REMEMBERING, Stories from my Life, is a private publication. She says that FOR THE LOVE OF ANIMALS fills in some important parts of her biography.
