In 2013, the authors Nilmini & Steven left the security of their home and jobs to volunteer and travel through numerous communities in Europe, in search of answers to the questions that they had been asking about collaborative and sustainable living solutions. They finished the year in Sri Lanka, visiting a couple of eco-villages and spending time with family.
It was an incredible year of spontaneous living, of forging new friendships, of learning the meaning of collaborative living and taking another step toward figuring out their own solution! They were amazed at the transition already happening in so many villages and cities in Europe and hope that a transition to a low carbon future will be a global reality one day.
