Born in Flint, MI and started writing at age 9 when encouraged by a teacher to submit poetry. Published a short story in a campus collection in 1985. Won an Honorable Mention Award in a national poetry contest in 1988. Married and moved to central, PA for 18 years and now resides in Baltimore, MD where writing has become a way of coping with disabilities.
