This book chronicles my adventure to the Chilkat River Bald Eagle Preserve north of Haines, Alaska in mid November, 2008.



I flew to Juneau, Alaska and then with 9 intrepid

photographers traveled 3.5 hours by ferry to Haines.

I stayed in a small B&B and for 5 days traveled back and forth in a small bus to the Chilkat Eagle Preserve to photograph Bald Eagles. Haines in the winter is a quaint community with hearty friendly people. The roads are icy and snowy, the wind cold, but seeing 3000 bald eagles exceeded all of my expectations.
