À propos du livre
Henry County Folklore by Mark Sean Orr, explores the fascinating legends and some frightening true stories that took place in Orr's home-place of Henry County, Indiana.
Some of the stories include; The Legend of Monkey Jack, The Pest House, Sarah Harvey's Grave, Body Snatchers, native American Indian lore and more. There is also light-hearted poetry and a short story by Orr entitled The Revival.
Also included are brief interviews with Elvira-Mistress of the Dark and actor David Selby of Dark Shadows fame.
The Afterword in the book was written by Jesse Freitas, Guest Services Manager | Operations at the world famous Stanley Hotel known as The Overlook in Stephen King's "The Shining".
Illustrations were provided by author/illustrator Charles E. Butler and Jessica Lynn Art.
A great read that will keep you up all night!
About this book publicist Marie Behar and actor Scott Morrow have said in part: There's comfort in nightmares, and I found solace in reading "Cemetery Tales" and "Servant Of The Bones: A Vampires Lament", by Mark S. Orr. The lure of his genre appeals to me, and I could not put it down. Monsters unvanquished. Death unrequited. The thrill of the chase, not the quarry. Turning back is not a possibility. A page turner from cover to cover.
Thank you, Mark S. Orr
