À propos du créateur
Dimosthenis Gallis was born on 13 August 1967 in Athens, Greece. A self-taught photographer, he has been studying and serving this discipline for more than 20 years. His love for photography, however, becames a genuine passion when he sets up his first digital studio equipped with a personal computer, a film scanner and a professional printer. Even though he works digitally, he adheres to traditional darkroom practices, such as dodging; burning; solarization; cropping etc. Gallis has so far exhibited his artwork at two brick and mortar galleries. The first time was "Saint Andrew's Skete on Mount Athos" at the French Institute in Thessaloniki, Greece in 1999. Then, in 2001, he participated with various themes at the International Biennale of New Artists that took place in Malta, where he won a distinction. Since, he exhibits his photographs through his personal website: ‘tranquilight.com’. Dimosthenis Gallis currently lives and works in Athens.
