This book is my first exploration on how pixels work.

Just like DNA is essential for all know forms of life, pixels are the new element of a picutre; pix ("picture") and el (for "element") shown on screen. No matter the form they take, pixels play the role of the smallest controllable element of a visual "thing" represented on our current LCD screen.

Therefore beeing controllable and reconstructed in different sizes, shapes and colors, the composition here has change from it's normal organization or pattern, the square format is now a slim rectangle and the pixels are now varicolored.
