Having been trained in the Hill tradition of bow making, after serving a full apprenticeship with Garner Wilson, Richard Wilson is one of only a small handful working in this way and keeping the Hill tradition alive. Using a wide range of influences he developed his own style. These include baroque and classical as well as modern bows. Before becoming a bow maker he was a professional viola player and teacher, and is therefore sensitive to the needs of players.
