I approach the world around me as an investigator studying the details of a crime scene to get a full picture of the event. I trace the details around me to get the picture of the world that I live in. The world I visualize is constructed with these fragments, constantly coming and going in pieces. They appear in the speed of light and disappear in a flash.  Sometimes when I walk on the street, ordinary places and scenes can leave an indelible mark on me. To others, these ordinary scenes of a stranger, a stray cat or a pigeon can seem common and expected,. But in my eyes, these moments of a stranger walking by, a stray cat roaming into an alley, or pigeons bobbing their heads on the sidewalks are great moments captured in my mind. Although they might not be Kodak moment photographs, but they are fragments of daily significance of lifethat signifies a moment of truth: an element that adds on to my existence.

The characteristic of a dog is similar to the process of what I do when I create a piece of art. Dogs live in the present as they don’t think of yesterday and tomorrow. They don’t rationalize but only react to their current moment. This is how they survive and I gravitate to this primal instinct in art making. There are unlimited moments that collages within the city, containing endless emotions expressed through people, objects or animals, are all availablewithin the dynamic of my surrounding. My drawings and photographs are reflection of these moments that I captured in the everyday life.
