À propos du livre
For the fourth year in a row, Mike Lynaugh has set out on a journey of roughly 6,000 miles to record the best events in aviation on the East Coast. This year brought the final retirement flights of the Space Shuttle, the final homecoming of the legendary aircraft carrier, U.S.S. Enterprise (CVN-65), the 50th anniversary of John Glenn’s historic first orbital flight around Planet Earth, the homecoming of Carrier Air Wing One, and of course, first class air shows from Michigan down to Virginia.
As each year starts out, Mike has a very basic outline of where his travels may take him. As opportunity, and sometimes even history, presents itself, new events are added, and sometimes removed from his travel schedule. This book is a visual diary of the best in aviation during 2012.
This book is intended to be an extension of Mike’s passion of flight. Please take a look back through the past year and relieve the memories as seen through his eyes.
