This is a true story of Rancho Minerva in Vista, California and of its pioneer residents, Nick and Bessie Huntalas. Originally Greek immigrants, they came to Vista in 1916 to start a new life together in the wilderness. The book written by their son Ted Huntalas, tells of the many hardships they endured, and how they worked hard and long, side-by-side to realize their dreams of prospering in America.
