During the Second World War, Albert Greenberg was a bombardier on a B-17 heavy bomber based in Snetterton Heath, Norfolk, in England. After the completion of 35 missions, Al returned to New York to study art at the Cooper Union and went on to a celebrated career as a Graphic Designer. He was founding Art Director of GQ magazine where his innovative work won very many design awards. After 13 years at GQ, he joined the advertising firm of Wells Rich Greene where his clients included the New York State Lottery and the "I Love New York" campaign. After nine years in advertising, he became the Head of Graphic Design at the Parsons School of Design. He currently lives in Hyde Park, NY with his wife of almost 60 years in a carriage house built as part of the Vanderbilt estate, one mile from the home of his former commander-in-chief, FDR.
