À propos du livre
A business trip to Hawaii at the end of May 2011 gave the opportunity to extend it with a few extra days of holiday. This allowed us to fit in three one-day trips to very different islands in the Hawaiian group.
We were staying at the luxurious and historic Moana Surfrider Hotel on the beach at Honolulu on the island of Oahu. We were, however, more interested in the less developed islands, and did not feel we could spare the time to laze on the beach.
Thus for our first trip we flew to Kauai, where we hired a car to visit some key sites.
For our next day out we flew to Hawaii (The Big Island) where we joined an organised coach tour, with a particular focus on the active volcano area.
Our third trip was to Maui, where we again hired a car, for a trip along the Hana Highway, a well known winding coastal road.
