I am a Canadian visual artist known for my portrait oil paintings of people, pets (particularly cats) & polar bears. I accept portrait commissions and sell my original fine art oil paintings (including polar bear art) at Christine Montague Fine Art. After a recent trip trip to Cape Dorset and Iqaluit in Nunavut (Canada's arctic), I am even more passionate about our polar bears, the canary in the coal mine for our north. My paintings have been exhibited in over 50 art shows, many of them juried, in the Greater Toronto Area - Visual Arts Mississauga, Arts Etobicoke, Oakville Artworks, Beaux-Arts Brampton, Headwater Arts, OCADU Alumni. My art is in the collections of McGill University, Peel District Schoolboard (Mississauga) and the Living Arts Centre (Mississauga) My oil paintings and portraits are in collections across Canada, in the U.S.A., Bermuda and Great Britain.
