À propos du livre
These are a few of my favorite pictures from the U2 360 Tour that came through the Pacific Northwest this past summer (Seattle) and in 2009 (Vancouver BC). For the Vancouver concert I smuggled in a Canon G1 so that I could edit the RAW files in Adobe Lightroom. The Black Eyed Peas were a great opening act with lots of laser lights that I tried to capture.
Then the U2 spaceship took off for the most visually exciting experience you can imagine. Especially with the 360 HD screen, I found myself watching the screen more than the live band. My seats were in front but all the way across the venue BC Place. Which is huge.
In Seattle, Lenny Kravitz kicked things off before night fell. In June it does not get dark here until around 9pm or so. I got plenty of shots from the rear stage but when I started to move around the security would not let you stand for more than a few seconds for a picture. Then I ran into the security Nazi who had my lens and camera confiscated because it was 'against the rules'. Really? Waited about 1/2 hour and missed some great shots, but eventually persuaded the ladies to let me have my camera back. In time for the last hour or so.
A beautiful night indeed. Hope they come back soon! Chris

Serious amateur photographer who does mostly portraits but other stuff too. Like U2 concerts with an incredible light show. Or Venezia with its charm. Or weddings every now and then.... for friends.
