À propos du livre
The paintings in this book focus on Allyson Reynolds’ continued exploration of the moth motif. They are presented here in two bodies of work, moths and score for imagined sound.
In his essay, "Of repetition and of song" Daniel Mafé describes Moth Song as “a richly contrasting body of work - a two-part melody. As a whole and in its subtle and evocative way, it sings of joy, life and death, light and dark, abundance, difference and variegation; all is accepted.”
Each painting from the series is reproduced, along with selected stunning detail images, photographed by Jon Linkins, allowing the viewer to be immersed in the beauty of these paintings.
This is a large (28 x 33cm) hard cover book with magnificent wrap around dustjacket.
This book is published for the first time on the occasion of the exhibition Moth Song at Rebecca Hossack Gallery, London in January 2012.
