À propos du livre
This is the story of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
If you go to Mexico, you can see the Image of Our Lady with your own eyes. And this is also the story of the humblest of her Indians, Juan Diego, whose vision of the Virgin of Guadalupe on the slopes of Mount Tepeyac is the most important miracle in the long history of Mexico and Mexicans. You can visit the church that was built just where Juan Diego directed. It was named by a miracle, too; for Our Lady appeared to him in a vision and told him her new church should bear the name of Guadalupe. And when it was finished the Indian’s tilma was hung over the altar. There it hangs to this day—though the tiny shrine has long since become a great and famous basilica—the ancient cloak with the miraculous picture of Our Lady, exactly as she appeared on that windy hilltop long ago to the poorest and humblest of her Indians, Juan Diego.
