Foreword written by Pete Hamill - This is a factual account, based on family history, of the saga of an Irish Catholic growing up in the secular intolerance of Protestant dominated Northern Ireland. As a lad he had migrated with his family to America in 1914, but after only two years there his father was killed in a tragic accident and the family was forced to move back. He yearned for America again, but several poor choices while growing up haunted him and turned his hopes into a life-long quest.
