Dziadzia is a collection of medium format film photographs paired with personal writings discussing the relationships within a small Polish-American family and the relationship they possess to the space itself. Shot with a Yashica Mat 124 G on 120mm film, the images are highly detailed and vivid in color which contrasts the accompanying text, whose subject matter reveals the tale as a dull and bleak setting among the beauty surrounding it. The dualism of the text and images provides a start contrast, allowing the reader a strongly ambivalent experience at each turn of the page.
