À propos du livre
HAZE XXL (aka Tom Hazelmyer) has spent a lifetime in the deep recesses of the underground art/music world. From founding the influential Amphetamine Reptile Records, where he was also head designer and artist in residence, to playing in Halo Of Flies, Killdozer, U-Men, Melvins and with other indie noise stalwarts. There's been hundreds of LP covers, posters, toys, Zippo's and countless other creations.
This book captures the first year into his carves. With a bellyful of Jack Kirby, and a headful of German Expressionism, HAZE XXL switched gears into what he refers to as "some cave man shit" after spending far too long at the computer screen. Indeed, these linocuts are every bit as primitive as the computer is modern.
