À propos du livre
Over 100 pictures from this beautiful archipelago in a large format book with thick high-quality pages.
Åland is one of the most popular tourist destinations in northern Europe. Most people visit the stunning Finnish archipelago in the summer months but as a photographer I find the islands more interesting during autumn and winter. There is a crisp low sun producing dramatic effects and a myriad of changing colours as the seasons progress.
The mood changes month-by-month, week-by-week and sometimes even hour-by-hour as light, weather and temperature combine in different ways. These pictures are my personal view of these beautiful islands when the tourists have left and the nights and cold weather close in.
