À propos du livre
During 2007 as the Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan prepared for its transition from an absolute monarchy to parliamentary democracy, American broadcast journalist Steve Herman visited the remote nation three times. Herman photographed snippets of the beautiful and devoutly Buddhist land. He hopes the photographs will convey some of the aura of spirituality and grace of Bhutan that he found throughout the country.
The photos usually cover an entire page with brief descriptions listed in the index. This is a unique book that captures a land few outsiders have been fortunate to see in person.
Available in both soft cover and hard cover, either will serve as an impressive conversation piece on your coffee table.
During 2008, 10% of the proceeds of the book sold in the Blurb store will be donated to the Tarayana Foundation, which assists the efforts of Bhutan's Royal Family to alleviate poverty in the country.
