Every hero shot from the Western States 100 was made by someone standing for hours in the heat, glare, thirst, and hunger; waiting for a runner to come through in 1/10sec. Maybe rain and hail, as in 2012 when that happened at higher elevations. I’m not out there, leaving that to the experts. I do my work at the finish line.
