À propos du livre
Currently, our globe is home to over 2.3 billion children and adolescents. Take a moment to reflect on your own childhood - recall your dreams, your perceptions of the world, your emotions, and how you envisioned your place within it.
This work chronicles a year-long journey through the Israel-Palestine region, with a particular emphasis on observations and interactions with children. This visual narrative includes photographs captured in diverse locations, ranging from the city of Acre to the Old City of Jerusalem and to a cave in the village of At-Tuwani in the South Hebron Hills.
From fleeting and informal meetings to engaging in more structured family gatherings, it becomes swiftly apparent how these innocent children find themselves unintentionally and involuntarily caught up in the upheaval that impacts their families. Through a carefully curated set of images, we hoped to create a narrative that evokes emotions, unveils what’s hidden, and sparks a dialogue. As you look at these images, examine them closely. The objective of this photo essay is to bring attention to the intricate link between children's expressions of emotions - such as joy, fear, sadness, resilience, hope, and contentment - and the opportunities and challenges associated with living in their homeland.
