À propos du livre
Lloyd Higgins grew up in a family of five sisters and two brothers. After his parents separated while he was in high school and his mom moved the family from California to Texas, he proceeded to blaze his own trail and navigate life in the segregated south. He went on a pathway to integrate a church, develop lifelong relationships and become one of a very few black students to attend a private university in Texas. After graduating with a bachelor's degree and a master's degree, he started his career in education. During that time, he became a game day manager for a professional sports franchise. Higgins worked a combined 37 years as a football coach, teacher, athletic director and a high school administrator. He retired and currently lives happily ever after with his beautiful wife/soulmate, Sandra, in the state of Washington. Lloyd Higgins enjoyed a fascinating and intriguing journey through life, chronicled in the writing of his memoirs, 'Against the Wind.'
