À propos du livre
The Amazon is something of a mystical place. Taking care of and preserving the rain forest is of paramount interest to the native people of the Peruvian Amazon Rain Forest. It is said that within its plants lie the answers to humankind's medical cures. Many people still live happily in remote villages although they do send the children to larger villages for their secondary education. Each village is configured around a large open area that for decades has been the soccer field. People living in the forest live near the water but this necessitates moving a bit each season that coincides with the rising and receding of the river water. It is an intoxicatingly beautiful place; it entices a person to slow down, breathe deeply, and look everywhere to take in the wonder of this part of the world.
