Nadja Lancelot explores several artistic mediums — painting, photography, textiles, cooking — but her preferred language is silk painting with dyes. She divides her life between Burgundy, Sweden and California, three lands with very different light and atmospheres that deeply nourish her imagination. In Buxy, in the heart of Burgundy, she finds profound inspiration in the vineyards, nature, the French art of living, and the family recipes passed down through generations around long, joyful tables. Cooking, like painting, is for her an act of memory, beauty, and sharing. Silk, fluid and luminous, accompanies her free and intuitive gesture, allowing colors to move and flow like light across the landscape.
