About Rodger Newbold

Rodger has been involved with photography for over forty years. He is the Director of Photography at the Salt Lake Art Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. He has led many workshops, taught darkroom, digital darkroom, and camera usage classes, from the giant 8x10” large format camera to the newest electronic digital cameras.

Rodger’s photographs have been included in seven other books, many museums, in over one hundred online articles, numerous newspaper and magazine articles and reviews and are represented in public and private collections across the U.S. and Europe. His work may be seen at the Phillips Gallery, in Salt Lake City and his web site (coming soon) will be rodgernewbold.com.

Rodger has received awards for many of his photographs, including the Honors in the Arts Award, presented by the Salt Lake Area Chamber of Commerce. Awarded for outstanding contributions to Utah’s arts heritage. The Visual Artist of the Year 1997.
